Chef Marcus Samuelsson has created something special in Harlem. Red Rooster is located in the heart of Harlem, and its menu speaks to the diverse culinary traditions of all its neighbors. You can taste the passion in the fried catfish, the comfort in the shrimp and grits. The decor is bright and eclectic, from beautiful, large black and white photos lining the hallway to a stunning collection of Africana on shelves flanking the horseshoe bar. And, of course, there are red roosters everywhere. Getting a reservation can be tricky, particularly for the popular Sunday brunch. It is, however, worth the wait.
